The neighbor’s boyfriend across the street’s 07 Si coupe. Not a ba d looking car considering it is 10 years old and has 140,000 miles.
Honda penned a handsome car. PS - it is a pretty good weapon in World Challenge trim too.

I forget how good these look because around here they all have peeling clear coat and/or unevenly faded paint.

I always liked the pre-facelifted sedans from that era as well

I think that Honda paint of the vintage just needed waxing. My red ‘07 sedan is unblemished which I attribute to a hand wax job a year.

IIRC... Honda had just started using water based paints and the learning curve was kicking their butt. The darker shades were more commonly affected and factory recall was issued where the resprayed the car.
That being said my Rallye Red Si Sedan was lucky and did no t have fade issues related to the factory paint. Now I did have fade issues with the plastic trim pieces and sunroof seal, never was able to replace the latter before I sold it.

Always thought they were well styled cars when new, and that opinion has not changed.

I think so too. Clearly the neighbors boyfriend cares about that one with the amount of miles plus how mint it looks. My guess is a lot of them were bought by people who just assumed Honda = indestructible and never even washed them.

I’ve always been a fan of their looks (the sedan moreso) but the paint issues kept me away from buying one. Though I may get one as a project in a few years.

There was a recall for the paint some time back. I had my 2010 coupe repainted once I started noticing the peeling clear coat. This was back in 2014(?) maybe early 2015. I didn’t hear about ithe recall until I started asking around at a dealership about the clear coat issue.

This. Regular waxing (3-4 times a year from 1996 to 2007ish) kept the original paint on my 88 integra pretty red and shiny for almost 20 years in the desert.

Looks like the Pontiac G6 Coupe:
Which little does anyone know, could be had with a 3.9L V6 ( making 240hp, 240ft-lbs 90% of which could be had from 1,500-5,500rpms ) and a 6 speed manual
